Season 9 of Florida Road Trip has been our most exciting yet! Our team has uncovered countless fascinating places, including the Kirk Collection in Tallahassee.

Jim Kirk, the first FSU graduate in speech with a broadcasting emphasis, amassed an impressive collection of radios and record players over his lifetime. With over 300 pieces on display at the WFSU Broadcast Center, visitors can explore Kirk's passion for radio and music firsthand.

Don't miss the chance to visit the Kirk Collection, open Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Friday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Join us on Florida Road Trip as we uncover more treasures across the Sunshine State!

Jim Kirk, the first student to graduate with a degree in speech with a broadcasting emphasis from FSU, owned an extensive collection of radios and record players. Kirk had a long career in radio, but for more than 60 years he collected radios, record players and other musical instruments. Today, there are more than 300 pieces in his collection which can be seen on display at the WFSU Broadcast Center. The Kirk Collection is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday through Saturday.
